4 LAWS of MOTHER EARTH to her KIDS to follow

As we all know, mother is always a mother and she has enormous tolerance towards her kids. But if kids goes out of control due to mischief, what does she do? She will punish us. Right? Here are the 4 LAWS at home that she has put for us. 

(L)ight, (A)ir,(W)ater and (S)oil . So what are we doing with these LAWS that mom has put? We are breaking them, because we think we are street smart.

Light Pollution  (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_pollution) – Night meant for no-light. But we are using too much excessive lights at night. It is affecting us as well as our fellow species and their health as well sleep pattern. To produce light, we are burning lot of fossil fuel which in turn creating Air Pollution. Can we try Solar heaters, solar Panels, wind energy, tide energy, hydro energy?

Air Pollution (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_pollution) – I don’t think this needs much explanation. You all know and this is one of the serious LAWS break we are doing L  We must act to do some little help to reduce this.

Water Pollution (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_pollution) – As per leading study, there is only 2.5% fresh water resources available. This is also one of the most abused resource by all of us. Also there are many research and articles are out to spread the awareness about the Water. Rain water harvesting is considered one of the most effective ways in the places where decent rains happens. Can we build more lakes and ponds to conserve water? Can’t we do these simple things?

Soil Pollution (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soil_contamination) – We need more food to waste. That’s what kids do..right. To get more foods, the plants need to grow faster. Then we use chemicals for the same. Do you know how much damage we have already made on Soil. Can’t we promote compost way of growing? Interest in watching how food can be grow in innovative way:

So folks, don’t try to check the patience of our mother. Otherwise we may get TIMEOUT from her. Be prepared!!

Resolution for Earth Day - Be selfish.

Whenever people are talking about weather changes like global warming, mercury rise, drought, flood, pollution etc.. in cafeteria, snack bar, chit-chat time, so on,  I had observed that the first thing is to blame the society, other people (except me!!) and the government. When first time (few years ago) I was involved in this discussion, I also started preaching that, everybody should involve in planting trees, do rain water harvesting, save water, save earth, go green, blah, blah, blah. So as usual, as an adult, one day I started preaching kids in my apartment that, value of water, trees and how pollution is affecting earth. So I started telling them that "you need to plant a tree" to save earth from danger. The preaching went fine and all kids nodded that they will do. But, a small girl voice from the corner came that "Uncle, Uncle, how many trees have you planted?"...oops...got a googly.. So luckily I had planted a tree when I was in my 6th standard in my village. Reason:  3 toppers from the 5th standard will get a chance to plant a tree in front of my school and need to take care of the plant for next 6 months.  I was happy that I got a privilege. And not happy that I need to do watering every day for next 6 months L. So, I planted it and even scratched my initials on it. In front of kids, I proudly said that YES I had planted a tree in my school. Then the same voice from that girl came "Uncle, only one tree? you said we need to plant many?". Hmm.. I felt ashamed. Because I did not do much planting. That incident onward, I stopped preaching. Then I started reading lot of articles, watching videos about "Saving Earth" and got lot of knowledge. But, what is the use of the knowledge until I put that into implementation. Over the period of time, I realized that, it is better to become selfish on this "Saving Earth" matter. Here are the my selfishness resolutions.

• I want to plant a tree in front of my house so that it gives good air and shade to me and my family only. (Achieved) I don't worry whether it helps earth, or the society.
• I will do rainwater harvesting in my house to reduce the amount of water bill (in progress). I don’t worry whether it helps water supplying body or not.
• I will put solar water heater so that I will save electricity bill (In progress) I don’t worry whether it helps electricity supplying body or not.
• I will put solar panels to minimize the dependency on the electricity body and power outages(Planning phase). Again I don’t worry whether it helps the electricity supplying body or not.

So if everyone start becoming selfish like me, what a change will happen.. oops.. again preaching.. sorry.. I don’t worry whether other people implement it or not. Because I am very selfish on this matter.
